Fluorescent Dye Stains
Dye Stains may be applied to latent fingerprints on nonporous surfaces (plastics, glass, metal, etc.) which have been initially processed with Cyanoacrylate Fuming. The Dye Stain may be applied with a spray bottle or wash bottle, followed with a rinse solution. The resulting fluorescent latent fingerprints may then be visualized with a Forensic Light Source and Forensic Goggles. Always wear personal protection equipment such as coveralls, gloves, respirator, and eye protection when working with chemicals.
